Sheridan Elementary School

Do you like to read to children? Are Dr. Suess, cupcakes and balloons the sites you like to see?  Serving the children of Sheridan Elementary School in Bloomington, IL may be just the thing you love to do? 

Help is needed with reading programs, parties, child care and more. Opportunities to serve in these various roles occur both during the week and weekend; so there is a great deal of flexibility in finding something that will fit into your own busy schedule!

Currently, Reading Volunteers are needed.  The Reading Specialist at Sheridan has shared, that this program has helped children who are behind to greatly improve. Volunteers meet with a child at the school on a regular basis to help the child with his or her reading skills on a one-on-one basis.

Ministry opportunity takes place at Sheridan Elementary School located at 1403 W. Walnut St., Bloomington, IL 61701.  This ministry will break for the summer and resume in September.
