Small Groups

Join a Small Group

What exactly is a small group?

Small groups come in many shapes and sizes at E-Free.  Any time a few Christians gather together regularly for study, fellowship, and service there is opportunity for what we refer to as a small group. Individuals in small groups desire to grow spiritually and believe mutual caring, accountability, service, and encouragement are all parts of the pattern Jesus established with His disciples to nourish that growth.

Although you may join an existing small group at any time during the year, new small groups are organized each Fall.

Starting Point

Never been in a small group at E Free before?  Are you curious about them?  Do you feel that you need more information about E Free and small groups before you make a commitment to be in a small group?  We'd like to invite you to join Starting Point.

Starting Point is a fun, community experience led by the E-Free staff.  You will be able to test drive the small group atmosphere while discussing what Serving Reaching Growing means for this church and how you can get on board.  It meets in the Café from 6:30-8PM on Sunday nights.

The first night for Starting Point is on September 26, 2010.  Try it out the first night and decide.  It will then continue for a total of 4 weeks.  You can register online or sign up at Café Connection.  Click here for more information.

What can you expect when you join a Small Group?

A Few People - Small Groups are generally 3-12 people who meet at a regularly scheduled time.  Weekly meetings are suggested.

Accessibility - Meetings are usually in homes, but could also be at church, at the workplace, at restaurants, or any other location convenient to members of the group.

Authentic Community - These small groups are designed for you to develop friendships through sharing life together, which may involve studying, eating, praying, serving, laughing or otherwise sharing the ups and downs of life with one another.

Bible - Learning to know and understand God’s Word in the Bible is the reason we gather together.

Application - It is when we apply what God is teaching us that our lives are changed.

Service - Each group member is encouraged to serve where they are uniquely gifted. Often the group as a whole will tackle a specific service project they can do together.
