Live Like Jesus

God calls us to live generous lives, not just financially, but through giving our time and energy to meet needs. We give in order to live like Jesus, who showed us a self-sacrificing way: “For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich.”  2 Corinthians 8:9

2 Corinthians 9:7 “Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly, or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”

Partner With Us

EFC's local and global Missions Partners, Serving Teams, Online Ministry, and programs within the church walls are all made possible by the financial gifts of our congregation. Your donations also provide funding to maintain our facility for use by community organizations such as Kindermusik, as well as church events! We are blessed to have people who faithfully partner with us.

We strive for transparency with our budget and funds. There is an annual report provided at the beginning of each year to show the church budget and give specific details.

Here are options for giving electronically:

  • Use our Church Center system. This is the method that is most efficient and cost-effective for our organization, and we appreciate you choosing this option! Please consider setting up a recurring donation. These are convenient for you and help us maintain a consistent income for budgeting. You can also select the "cover fees" option as another way to make your gift to EFC go further.
  • In-Person: Use drop boxes at the building, or mail checks to 2910 E. Lincoln, Bloomington, IL 61704.
  • Transfer Funds using our online banking system.
  • PayPal From your existing PayPal account, use "payment@efreebn.org" to send funds. In addition to donations, this option can be used for event registration or youth camps. Please add a comment to designate the purpose of the funds and specify Friends and Family. (Note: PayPal does charge a processing fee to our organization.)

Serve

We give – not because we have to, but because we are blessed.  There are endless ways to give back to God and be an extension of His love to others. This includes our talents, time, and treasures.

One way we give is through serving. Consider praying about how God can use you to serve at EFC, in our community, and around the world! Our Serving Page can give you some ideas if you’re not sure where to start.

God also gives us tangible resources. At EFC, we believe that all giving is meant to come from a place of joy and trust, never out of pressure or guilt. What and how you give is between you and God. We do not ask for a specific amount or percentage – we want you to give as the Lord leads.

  1. Log-in to your online banking
  2. Select “Bill Pay”
  3. Select “Add Payee”
  4. Enter the applicable Evangelical Free Church information
  5. Select “Recurring Payment and enter the appropriate dollar amount and frequency”
  6. Select “Finish”
